The PRICE project, together with the Norwegian Hydrometallurgy Network, will try to arrange weekly such events during the on-going corana-virus lock-down to support our students and the community in general. The events are organized as a on-line webinars and broadcast using the ZOOM video-meeting system.
Webinars are announced through a dedicated e-mail list. If you want to be included in the list please send an e-mail to post@hydromet.no with the text "notify me of webinars" and your prefered e-mail address. The list is only used for webinars and not shared with anyone else.

28th May: The New Copper Process and Facility at Nikkelverk by Oluf Bøckman (Glencore Nikkelverk)
Nikkelverk has run an active R&D program on copper electrowinning since 2007, and a new tankhouse based upon this a new platform the this will be in full production in 2022. It will be a short lecture of about 20 minutes, and then we open up for questions and a general discussion on the value of piloting in research, development and innovation.
Zoom Webinar (request invitation through post@hydromet.no)

2nd April: Liquid-liquid extraction history and overview by Dag Ø. Eriksen (UiO)
Dag Ø. Eriksen will give a double-lecture about Liquid-liquid extraction history and overview. It is primarily aimed at the PRICE PhD-students, but should be highly relevant for everybody interested in hydrometallurgy in general. In particular, members of the NRC-BIA PRICE project and the Norwegian Hydrometallurgy Network are invited.

16th April: RAMAN applied to hydrometallurgy by Niels H. Andersen (UiO) - CANCELLED
Due to illness, Niels H. Andersen webinar was rescheduled to 30th April.
23rd April: Intro to Life Cycle Analysis by Christofer Skaar or Håvard Bergsdal (SINTEF)
Christofer Skaar or Håvard Bergsdal (SINTEF) will provide an introduction lecture about Life Cycle Analysis. Preliminary title is "Introduction and global frameworks for environmental assessment in PRICE". The lecture is primarily aimed at PhD students connected to the PRICE NRC BIA-KPN project, but the subject is of wide general interest and the lecture should be educational for most people working with hydrometallurgy and process industry.
The length of the lecture is not yet decided, but most likely the first 45 min will of wide, general interest. If there is a second lecture it will probably be more focused on the work of the PRICE PhD students.
